Cllr Alexander Stafford welcomes the launch of a new monthly food market on 22nd March in Ealing Broadway.
Eat Me Drink Me Sundays will see the pavement in front of Ealing Town Hall filled with mouth-watering food stalls serving up delicious meals & fresh artisan produce. The impressive line-up showcases well-known street food traders alongside local businesses.
Renowned butchers Hook & Cleaver will bring the best of their Ealing stores, while Pitshanger favourite Charlie’s Fruit Bowl and Northfields florist Mags Petite Fleur will brighten up any afternoon with colourful fruit, veg & plants. Flavours of Spain – a regular on London’s gourmet market scene and award winning importer of the finest Spanish cheeses, meats, honey and more – will also take part and Monkshood Coffee will provide barista coffees and speciality teas.
The street food stalls include Mama’s Jerk Station, with their delicious range of Caribbean dishes and Mexican street food from Margo & Rica, as well as West London’s Ruperts Street (vegan), Guasacaca (Venezuelan arepas) & Churros Garcia.
Eat Me Drink Me is headed up by Ealing resident Kate McKenzie, who says: “We wanted to create a weekend market that works closely with local businesses. The amazing response to Food Truck Friday has shown us that this is what people are looking for. Eat Me Drink Me Sundays will be the perfect place for a family day out or to meet friends. You can buy your Sunday roast to cook at home, pick up your groceries for the week or just grab a bite to eat with friends.”
Cllr Alexander Stafford comments: “Eat Me Drink Me is a wonderful local initiative, bringing the freshest produce and the freshest food trends to Ealing. I am delighted that they are expanding in Ealing Broadway and will now be sating our foodie desires at the weekend as well. Everyone should get on board with these great events – it once again shows that Ealing is booming.”
